My first photoshop....

Updated: Feb 13, 2018

I was delighted to have been contacted, out of the blue through Instagram, by a photographer called Allison Leigh, www.allisonleighphotos.com a creative fine art photographer from Milton, Ontario, Canada.

She describes her work in a very simplistic way, “I’m a natural light photographer and my photos are bright, airy, and natural.”

Personally, I would say her work is magical and truly beautiful.

She asked me if I was interested in doing a #cumbrianphotoshoot during her HOLIDAY! as she was coming over to the Lake District for a week during May, and loved my work. As if I was going to say no and after looking at her portfolio, wow was the only words that came out of my mouth.

Quickly, I succeeded in finding other fabulous wedding people who wanted to be involved and share this experience. As it was we were all newish businesses, who more than welcomed this opportunity. (List of everyone will follow)

In the few hours, I spent with Allison, she made ME feel like we were best friends, she is sincere, open-hearted, outgoing, inspirational, as well as unassuming.

I later saw this quote on her website.

“My secret goal is to have you leave every encounter with me feeling like we could be best friends.”

She was a delight to meet, who sought from the first hello to accommodate everyone involved and I know it takes a special person to do that.

I am excited now to see the finished photographs, she was working on them as soon as she arrived home.

This experience will stay with me forever. It has inspired, encouraged and motivated me as I start my #weddingstyling journey, to be reminded that anything is possible, energising me to take every opportunity that arises. It’s also a personal reminder to look out for others as this also brings great rewards.

I wanted to share some of my very amateur photo from our day and a wonderful quote by an inspirational man.

“Problems or successes, they all are the results of our own actions. Karma. The philosophy of action is that no one else is the giver of peace or happiness. One's own karma, one's own actions are responsible to come to bring either happiness or success or whatever.”
