Good or bad news!!!!!! Tying the knot is good for your health, according to scientists, marriage can add three years on to your life. So, a life enhancing congratulations to all you bride and grooms to be.
Over the next few weeks, I will be looking at all aspects of wedding planning. Planning any event requires creativity, a vision and great organisational skills. Few people possess all these skills so outside help is often needed. There is no right or wrong way to plan a wedding but you can end up making it stressful and more time consuming than it need be. Planning a wedding successfully is about breaking the elements of the day down and thinking about them in the right order.
So, the first 5 BIG decisions that need to made before planning can begin are:
How? What sort of wedding ceremony do you want, civil or religious?
Where? Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same place? If not at then logistically the reception venue needs to be within a thirty-minute drive away.
When? Do you have a month, season, time in mind? Being flexible at this stage will open your options.
Who? Who do you to invite? This may be dictated by your budget, so pick the important people as your number estimate now.
Budget? The million-dollar question. This is the time to be honest with yourself and your partner. Have parents mentioned about contributing? Remember weddings are about people and one of the most beautiful and romantic weddings I have attended cost less than 2k.
